Cab for crescendos

Post by thefatcyclist »

I need to get a new cab for my 2 Crescendos, closed back. Can anybody recommend a cab size internal dimensions please. Minimum sizes and ideal sizes would be great. I have no prefernce as to portrait or landscape orientation but the cab will need to have side wall handles I think because of the weight.

My research so far. In Inches widthxheightxdepth/ external/ external vol/ estimated internal vol
WEM 2x12 cab 1 portrait 20x30x12 7200 in cubed 5175
WEM 2x12 cab 2 portrait 23x35x12sloped 8460 in cubed est 6531
Hitone 2x12 cab l/scape 30x20.25x13 7897 in cubed 5300
Hiwatt MG 2x12 cab l/scape 26.25x20.75x11.5 6264 in cubed 4100
Swanson 2x12 cab l/scape 30x20x13.5 8100 in cubed 5500

My instinct tells me that a cab in the region of the Hitone would be just about the right compromise, but the bigger wem might be ideal.

Ported or not though is another question

the HI-TONE cab is 13.5" deep. sorry, I must have a typo on the website.

it is optimal for almost all 12" speaker designs.

stop by and I'll help you load it

If only it were that easy :D
