I am expecting delivery of DR504 #5899 tomorrow (Tues. 2/18) and wondered if anybody knew any info about this one. It's in the registry with the following notes:

"Hylight 4-input Has Bulgin, but uses hard wired mains through factory hole in left rear panel, white output jacks. Both transformers not original or Partridge type, two filter caps replaced with non-original type"

I don't know how old the entry is, hopefully somebody put it back properly (doubtful, I know).

I bought it from GC so I do have a return option I may use. I'll open it up on arrival to see how badly it's been hacked.

It came, I saw, it went...

Not only were the transformers changed, it had KT88 tubes installed. (?!) All kinds of mess inside, too. I have already returned it - I didn't even plug it in.

I'll just play my HiTone!

good to know. I almost pulled the trigger on that one as well.

That's a shame, I hate to see an old Hylight molested like that.
