I'm excited about the convention and will even manipulate my summer teaching schedule so I can be there! Looking forward to seeing you mugs!

Ditto! Just have to get through trips to Mexico, Las Vegas and Chicago until I fly into IND and drive on down to Columbus. Might be so desperate for a cold beer by then that I'd even drink an Old Peculiar  ...

I am getting more excited by the day!

I might be able to get a keg of Dos Equis ??? I know it isn't from the proper continent, but I love it!

Bottles are probably best, for handling and variety...............Beer, it's not just for breakfast anymore!

I'm really looking forward to it. Someone asked me if it was like the Star Wars conventions--where they dress up as the characters. I'm gonna come as a DR504!

If your head was any squarer you could come as a Partridge transformer!

Despite the bizarre and massive flooding in my area, HIWATT Valley is fine and ready for the convention.
I was without internet service for a couple days but things are getting back to normal. The small town of Edinburgh which is 9-10 miles north of me got 11 inches of rain in a 4 hour period!

It was really sad as my dad was up all night Saturday chasing away looters. There was no way in or out of town (besides helicopter) or I would have been helping him and taking a few shots at them as well!

Bring On the Convention!

I have my carry permit and would love to help your dad deal with looters!

Add that to the Convention topic list:

"Keeping Your Vintage HIWATT Secure - The Smith & Wesson Method"...

You forgot to mention the lightning strike and soiled undergarments.

Eh, wot?

I have a Smith & Wesson and a few Colt Autos, so either way we're covered.

Oh Yeah the lightening strike. I didn't get all the rain, but a tree on the edge of my driveway got struck by lightning! I saw it and nearly soiled my shorts! It blew several breakers and fried my satelite dish.

The strange thing is that down here in evansville it hasn't rained much this past week. I drove up to monticello, IN tuesday(near Lafayette) because my father passed away, but fortunately I returned home before the floods. I think we're all in for lot's of bizarre weather.

Not far from Dr. HIWATT's office:

Residents walk through several feet of floodwaters to get to higher ground along Rocky Ford Road in Columbus, Ind. on Saturday, June 7, 2008.

Yeah!

Any of you staying at the Days Inn, request a 2nd floor room. The first floor was under water!

The courtyard Marriot was fine.
