I have a 1972 Hiwatt cab for sale. It has Celestion Greenback 25 watt speakers all dated April of 1972.

Speakers are in excellent condition and have not been played a lot. The cab is in excellent shape for it's age and very clean.
I have not been able to find any similar cabs to compare it to. I am no sure as to it's true value. But it is easily the best sounding 4 x 12 I've ever heard, including my friend's Basketweave Marshall with pre-Rola 20's.
Cab Plate says - Made in England by Hylight Electronics (Hiwatt Amplification) Limited
AP / SE4123 / 2902
It's a basketweave cab and has the slot-type handles cut directly in the side of the cab - no hardware.
This came from J.T.Riboloff, former head of R& Dat Gibson and Marshall afficianado... he said he believed the speakers were original to the cab.
I have read some blogs that say there were no Hiwatt cabs that came stock this way, I cannot comment on that that, as my knowledge of Hiwatt gear is somewhat limited.
I will get some photos together soon.
Thanks for any help / info/whatever. I am new to this blog.
Best,
Philberto
