Hello everyone!

I'm in the market for my very first Hiwatt, and I'm looking for a DR-504. I found a 1974 one in NY that looks pretty good, and I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Does it look to be in good shape? Here's a few pics :

Hi, welcome to the Vintage HIWATT forum.

we need better pics to make any definitive conclusions.
the fist pic you posted is ok, but no great, the others are of little to no help.
get one in which you can read the numbers on top of the transformers.
one of the back of the amp that clearly shows the serial number tag
one like the first pic, but taken from the front towards the back.
a bit larger would be nice as well.

If it runs quietly and sounds good, it would be a good "player grade" amp. Due to the work that has been done to the amp it is not a collector's piece.
It is worth around $1300-$1500

Do you see any mods? What kind of work has been done?

Thanks!

The can caps have been replaced and a bias adjustment has been added. (These are both good things, if you want to play it as opposed to put it on a museum shelf  )
