We have been working on a lower power amp that that is club and home friendly as well as easier to carry around.
Our 30/15 is as heavy as a DR103 and capable of rocking stadiums.

The new amp is essentially a DR504 but with a fantastic new set of transformers designed for use with two 6v6 power tubes. The new transformers are 6.5lbs lighter than the 30w. transformers.

We have also redesigned 1x12 combo cabs and head cabs for use with a lighter amp and can bring the weight down to 11-12lbs less than the 30w./50w./100w. versions.

it is unmistakably a HI-TONE, and the transformers are so cute!

When will they be available? That's very interesting/exciting! Will those amps be about 20 watts then?

As an aside and at the risk of sounding ignorant, what are the "FMV" tone controls mentioned in the descriptions on the website? I haven't been able to figure that out.

These will probably be available sometime in April.
The new transformers are ordered. I am incredibly pleased with these.

FMV is an abbreviation for Fender-Marshall-Vox. there were between 150-250 HIWATTS in the late 1960's and into the first half of 1970 that had tonestacks that were much closer to the Fender stack that Jim Marshall copied than Dave Reeves' original design.

Our "LEAD" model is like this. it isn't exactly a Fender-Marshall tonestack, but its much closer to that then the classic DR tonestack.
Some of my friends described it as the best sounding HIWATT they ever heard. So we made it available.
