The seller thinks I am clueless. He "read" the back of the amp and determined it was made in 1974.

Until now, I was giving the seller the benefit of the doubt - figuring the 1974 was a typo.
Guess we know now... Must be a prototype of the Lead 100, 10 years or so ahead of it's time, eh

im in phoenix. i actually saw that ad and headed over here for your advice.
im looking for a head for my 1978, SE4123 w/ Fanes (i know that now, thanks to you guys here)
what kind of amp is this? would this amp be good with my speakers? how much should i offer if its worth getting?

Those amps are HIWATT in name only. If you are really desperate for an amp for a gig today it might be worth a couple hundred bucks..............If you want a real HIWATT...........Pass on that thing!
