Phase Inverter - sonic differences?

According to mhuss.com (thanks & kudos again to "The Professor"):

-- The early Hylight 4-holers used a cathode-follower circuit to directly connect the last preamp stage to the PI.

-- The later 4-holers and all the 2-holers capacitively coupled the last preamp stage to the PI.

What are the sonic differences between the two? Inquiring minds want to know... we didn't get around to sampling/comparing the different circuits at the VHC. :?

The first sounds more "cathode-y"

Seriously, I'm sure the difference is subtle, if at all audible. I suspect V1 selection makes a bigger difference in sound.

But I want it to sound more "anode-y"...
