Does it have EL34's and fat bottle 6CA7's?

Yep, that's what it came with! A pair of Winged C EL34's and a pair of GE 6CA7's. I think i might pull the Winged C's and run the amp at half power with the GE's. They sound really goood!

If you post a straight on shot of the input/preamp area, we can probably help you undo the mod. I am having a little trouble seeing very well with the current pics.

mhuss.com has pics of a late 70's DR103 that show the un-modded wiring.

Very nice, I have one very similar. Have you registered yours on Marks site yet? Curious what the s/n is and how close mine is to this example.
