Yeah, my response was going to be; "'cause Dr.Hiwatt didn't see it???". No serial plate, but DR's handwriting inside. Interesting piece!

Someone over that has asked me to vet it, and was bidding on it. I didn't want to betray his confidence or spoil his chances by pointing it out here. Apparently, he got outbid anyway.

Besides, the doc already has plenty of Hiwatts!

I guess that would be me. I asked for help and Mark helped me with nothing to gain from it, and I really appreciate this! The auction had one bid on 595 Euros until the last few minutes, so I had hopes of having a chance with my limit on 770. Maybe I should have realized that it would go for higher than that and post a link to the auction, and now I feel bad for not doing so. Sorry for that. However, then someone else on the forum who was bidding might have been pissed on me for posting. Of course I'd rather see someone at the forum got it.
