I would like to have ideas for possible "hands on" activities.

Various "taste tests" eg. preamp tubes, power tubes, speakers, difference in tone related to input current (100v/115v/125v/220v/240v...etc.)

I was thinking about the guy from Indyguitarist--Brian Wampler. His website is cool, and he's very close. http://www.wamplerpedals.com/

I guess that should be in the other thread. I was thinking about testing his pedals through our Hiwatts.

Do you know the guy? I have never heard of him

He could be an option.

Hopefully this forum will help generate ideas for and help develop a very cool Convention.

I haven't met him, but if he builds pedals for Brent Mason he must be good. Brent Mason is the #1 studio guitarist in Nashville. I've seen him live, and he is pretty awesome.

I checked out his site. Definitely some interesting pedals. And he is about 30 minutes away! 8)

HIWATT Evolution

look at and listen to the differences between 1960's circuits, early 1970's, mid '70s and late '70s.

Fantastico! I'd love to hear the differences back to back.

Some analysis of the circuit variations (presented by Mark "Mr. Schematic" Huss) would be very cool/educational. 8)

I am sure that the illustrious Prof. Huss could provide commentary and insight to that session! Especially if I bribe him with some Belizian hotsauce.
