That's Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day playing with them. Interesting.

Too bad about the tubes. This guys seen a few battles by the looks of it, totally screaming for a restoration. Hopefully your tech gives you a good verdict!

Re: Anyone remember.......
It's interesting how some people will try to play themselves isn't it? I think the only Hiwatt info I trust comes from right here - and of course, Mark's site.

Re: cap job myself
That makes a lot of sense. Do you have a particular brand you reccomend?Dr.HI-TONE wrote:probably not.
it isn't worth the hassle, especially when sending them outside the USA requires a trip to the Post Office.
We are focusing on amplifiers and speaker cabinets.

Re: SE320 (4x12 reflector cab)
Here are the pictures, I wanted to wait until I got a picture of the back plate and back of a speaker before posting. It appears as if this cab is neither a Hylight or Biacrown... Maybe a Sterling? (sorry if this new info puts this thread in the wrong forum) It has Hiwatt Legends in it. Not sure if ...

Re: SE320 (4x12 reflector cab)
while they are rare, $2000.00 seems pretty high. I would think that $1400-$1500 would be the high end for these. I hope I am wrong as I have a pair of them! Thanks for the info! I was thinking it did seem a bit high. I've received a few pictures of it (which I will post later) and it looks to be in...

SE320 (4x12 reflector cab)
I've found someone selling a 70s SE320, the big 4x12 with the horn in the middle. I've contacted the seller and he says it is working with the original fanes still in it... I'm just wondering how much one of these is worth? It's in pretty good shape from the picture I've seen, just waiting on gettin...

Re: DR201
Hmm.... well.. would you do it? haha. NO! Hook up the cabs in series and set the amp to 8 ohms. Dave EDIT: Here's a down and dirty sketch of a Series Y harness. You could substitute Male plugs for the Female jacks. Just make sure everything is plugged in before firing up the amp. Series Y-Cable by ...

Re: What tubes should I use in my DR201 6xEL34 amp
Worked great for a few weeks... cranked it up real loud last night to track some dirty guitar and it appears as I may have received a bad Winged C El34. Was fine and all of a sudden noticed some flashing in the back, looked in and saw some fireworks in one of the tubes, flipped it off really fast an...

Re: What tubes should I use in my DR201 6xEL34 amp
Finally got this amp fixed up by my tech. Went with Winged C El34s and got that cap changed back to what it should be and wow... it sounds like a different amp. As in, it sounds like it's supposed too. Just wanted to check back in and thank everyone on here for their help, without y'all I probably w...

Re: SE2150 on Ebay US - looks clean!
I was looking at this cab as well, and I'm also from Canada. It drives me nuts when you can't contact the seller. Hopefully it goes to a good home.
