I ended up getting the a112 combo I posted about months ago. The power tubes are mismatched with a vintage mallard and westinghouse 6ca7. Here are some pics. I'm either going with a hiwatt or matchless chieftain or dc30. I've had a chieftain before and it was great. Looking for amp that has chime and depth and can go from folk rock to the stones. Something versatile. $1900 is the price on the Hiwatt with road case. http://i1224.photob...

The speaker magnet is black with a purple stickers that says "High Effieciency 'Hiwatt' Heavy duty loudspeaker.

Do these still sound decent at lower volumes and $1,900 US a good price for one in very good shape with a road case. Ebay is tough because a lot are reissues.

Looking at picking one up. Partridge transformers, handwired with fane, and comes with road case. Price is $1900. Is that fair? I play rock, jam, Americana, and electric folk. How will this amp fare? I've always owned twins and deluxe reverbs, matchless chieftains, and mesa lone stars. I am worried ...
