seems all original to me.
the top 2 speakers have had some wiring added and some idiot has taken a chunk out of the back board (probably trying to get it off with a screw driver) but the piece seems to be inside, so maybe you can repair it?

yup i agree with the above, defo early, another sign is the inside is not painted black, which they only did early on.
but nice set of fanes, and bit of smokey mojo on the outside!

Indeed your wisdom is correct, the speakers make a huge impact on the tone! I managed to acquire another 12a crescendo at 16 ohms so I took the other from my 2x12 cab (it was paired with a celestion) and now have the two crescendos in the SA212 - it now sounds just like what I would have expected! ...
