Hi-Tone Versatility?
It's not the overpowering beast that others have, but this little "stack" is perhaps the ultimate in versatility!!! I can't say enough about the HT30/15 "JP" Combo amp. It's quite the amazing little beast and contains pretty much any tone you want!!! A special thanks to the good ...

Re: Rock Hall of Fame Hiwatt

Rock Hall of Fame Hiwatt
Our family spent a day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this week and we happened upon this well traveled Hiwatt stack on display in the Who exhibit. This was reported to be used by Pete Townshend on tour in the early 70's while promoting the "Tommy" album. The R&R HOF is...

Re: Show us your HI-TONE rig in action
The kid got invited to play with a local band in the beer tent at a family oriented summer fest Saturday night. Needless to say, the little combo amps on stage had some bumps and bruises afterwards as they were struggling to keep up with the Hiwatt and Dr. F loaded Hi-Tone Cab!!!

Amen to that!! It's a good thing for him..he loves music, especially guitar...and there could be alot worse things that have his interest so we continue to try to encourage his growth.

Re: Xmas Gift Ideas
Great ideas guys, thanks. He's got the slide...done the whole pre-amp tube thing....got a flight case with the Hiwatt...and a couple of OD pedals that suit his fancy right now....I know there are dozens to come yet, but hopefully when he can finance his own fun!!! I do like the bar stool idea and he...

Re: Xmas Gift Ideas
I should add that his musical tastes range greatly....mostly classic rock, though. Been getting into alot of Zepplin lately...but always plays alot of Clapton/Cream.....Bonamassa....Black Keys....White Stripes...and most everything in between....absolutely no interest in metal or anything close. Mos...

Xmas Gift Ideas
Hey all...it's that time of year and I'm looking for gift ideas for my son. He's really been wanting an acoustic guitar and we've been putting that off for a while now so this year we are getting him one....nothing fancy or pricey, but hopefully a good first acoustic that will serve him well. Since ...

Re: 12AX7 Tube Test Readings
Round #1 of preamp tube testing yielded the following current tube arrangement: V1 - Brimar CV4004 V2 - Mullard 12AX7 V4/PI - Mullard CV4024 (quite a HUGE change going from any of the 12AX7 to this) V3 - JJ ECC83S The Mullard and Bugle Boy were very similar...not really a discernible difference in V...
