Post by daz1024 »

hi all need a little help idntifying what i belive to be a fane speaker has the number 122991 and 10585 on the chassis but thats it no stickers or anything i have put a meter on it and it reads 12.3 ohms but have no idea of the wattage and cant seem to find much on the net other than a few photos on here that look a lot like it. It was in a custom sound cab with a fane j104 horn any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Vintage Hiwatt Forum!

All I can say with relative certainty is that your Fane was produced in 1985 and is a 16 ohm model. It would be safe to assume a 50 watt power rating. Since that was paired with a High Frequency horn, it may have been a Sound Reinforcement model. Fane produced many unique model numbers and their records, unfortunately, are incomplete :( .
