Early Cab on Ebay

Post by Alnico »

Anyone here get this? I was considering it, but the seller ignored my questions.

perhaps....
8)

I went against my better judgement and bid without internal pics
after thinning down my collection for over a year, I fell victim to my addiction and my lust of the silver grill cloth.

Cool! I had an eye on it as well, but fortunately the bids went higher than my max way before auction end. I was thinking someone here was looking at it as well, considering the conspicuous absence of a "heads-up". ;)

Photos needed!

A perfect match for your CP103, of course.

I was tempted but the seller turned me off by not replying.

I'd like to see it when it's cleaned up! 8)

if this post from the PP is true than I am an expert at throwing money away.

The seller told me there was one Fane left in it, he described it as 18" but he must have meant 12". The others were 2 x Goodmans and a Celestion G12.

ouch! That leaves me feeling as well as I did after my prostate exam last week, A stern reminder why I always preach not bidding without lots of good pics. Why did I break my own rules?????

We will be throwing out any non-fanes before shipping overseas.

I do hope to get the grill cloth reproduced accurately..........hopefully that will work out.

Ouch indeed. I guess that explains why he ignored my requests for more photos, and the questions about the speakers. :|

I've made worse/more expensive mistakes! It's still a very rare cab... looking forward to developments on the repro cloth!

The speakers are not originals.
The grill cloth is not bad under the protective wire.

There are 3 random Goodman's and a 1960's Celestion Alnico G12 T652.
If any of you guys in the U.K. would like the Goodman's let me know.
They will not be making the trip to the USA.
I think I may keep the Celestion, unless one of you guys really need it.

I fell off the wagon. I needed a Hylight fix.
