These old fanes of Mine

Post by thefatcyclist »

still need to find a home for my Early Fanes I bought a few months ago. I haven't even connected them yet, but expect a huge bass response, due to the massive magnets and big voice coil. I want to use a 2x12, and connect 2x2x12's rather than have a 4x12. I have pms on connecting 2 2x12s somewhere. I have read that crescendos like a larger cab than a Hiwatt 2x12, and think these drivers may be a precursor of those. What do you all think.
Here is a pic to remind you of which we speak.

Could very well be. I haven't seen that large of a dust cap on a Hiwatt Fane before. Regardless, I would recommend an oversized, or semi open back cab for testing them out.
