Are the Harrisons back in business (after their most recent receivership proceedings)?bluesfloyd wrote: new to the site, i am thinking of buying a new hiwatt DR504 head, how do you rate there build quality, i live in the UK,
Reviews of their last incarnation were not stellar. I'm sure one could do better, if one looked around.
Oh, and welcome to the forum !

a real vintage HIWATT is a much better choice.

It would be difficult to build a single unit from scratch for much less than the price of a good used one. And you won't know if he is using all appropriate parts, transformers, etc. I still think a "player" vintage Hiwatt would be your best choice.
