hi, guys
new to the site, i am thinking of buying a new hiwatt DR504 head, how do you rate there build quality, i live in the UK,

Are the Harrisons back in business (after their most recent receivership proceedings)?

Reviews of their last incarnation were not stellar. I'm sure one could do better, if one looked around.

a real vintage HIWATT is a much better choice.

i know a guy who can custom build me a 70's hiwatt dr504 head from start to finish, what do you guys think the price would be about in uk pounds ???? thanks for your time,

It would be difficult to build a single unit from scratch for much less than the price of a good used one. And you won't know if he is using all appropriate parts, transformers, etc. I still think a "player" vintage Hiwatt would be your best choice.
