Any info on this early Fane please?
Cast frame, Fane label on magnet cover, 22w, 14,000 gauss, cone marked 36/102/006
Blue label stamped 60784, not the usual date code seen later.
Many thanks

Re: 12289
Fane made the 12289 speakers for Dallas Arbiter (Sound City). Not many of the 22 watt models survived. Yours appear to have original cones, so consider yourself fortunate and treat them with care!

Re: 12289
The earliest designated HIWATT Fane model number I'm aware of is 12279, but I don't know how many were made. The next run included model numbers 122118, 122119, 122120 and 122121. Again, some of these may have been developmental prototypes that never saw the light of day.
The real "magic" didn't occur until the 122142 and 122231 HIWATT Fane models.

Dr.HI-TONE would be the best person to field that question. I've only seen those cabs in old videos.
