HI
I have my eye on a SE 320 with wrong speakers. What is the best replacement for the 122229 or 125377 ?
Celestion K12H-200TC ,K12H-100TC or Fane SOVEREIGN 12-250TC , SOVEREIGN 12-200LT.??
OR any other idea?
greetings from Germany Gunter

Re: SE 320
I have not heard any of those models, so take the following with a grain of salt:
1) I'm a bit skeptical of the claimed upper end of 17kHz on the Fane 250's. That's a LOT of extension from simply adding a whizzer .
2) It's too bad none of the models are offered in 16 ohms, but an 8 ohm bass cab isn't the end of the world.
3) The ribbed cone on the Fane *might* perform better for bass guitar.
4) At this point in time, I'd tend to trust Celestion's specs more.
5) The higher power handling capacity, the better in this application.
6) Double check your bolt spacing to make sure whichever speaker you choose will fit.

They never did much for me, but I've only heard them in high powered (guitar) combo amps.hiwattguenni wrote: some are using celestion sidewinder. what do you think about them?
That said, if a quad can be picked up cheaply, why not give them a try?
