Help with head match to a LS412 cabinet

Can I connect a Hiwatt 50 Crunch solid state head to my 80's LS412 cabinet? It does not say what ohm the cab is, but the speakers are 16 ohms/75 watts each. The head rating is 4-8 ohms. If I cannot connect the Crunch head, what Hiwatt head connects safely to the cab?

The cab is almost certainly 16 ohms, but you still can connect the head safely. It'll just put out less power then it would at 4 or 8 ohms.

Matching output and input impedance is more important with amps with tube output stages.
