DR103

Post by Peter07 »

I bought my DR103 amp second hand in 1988. It has a label on the inside which has the date 20/2/78. I used it in the late 80's early 90's but it's been sitting around unused for 25years now and as you can see could do with a bit of TLC.
One thing that has always puzzled me is the numbering painted on the side. I'm no Sherlock Holmes but it seems to me that it must have been previously owned by a fairly big band for the roadies to create a numbering system for handling and positioning the gear.
The amp has also had the original handle replaced with a more comfortable thick leather strap.
I know it's a long shot but does anyone out there have an amp or any gear with similar numbering on it and if so know who the original band was?
I bought the amp from a guy selling used gear from a barn in Benefield in Northamptonshire.
I haven't used this site before so I'm not sure if all the photo attachments are visible on the post.

hi Peter,

I don't recognize the numbering. I could from a be a big band as you suggest, or perhaps a big rental company.
