Next year we'll move the mike between tests as well as the speaker cable. :wink:

I am working on uploading the video of the cabinet war. It is a little under 1 gig in size.

i think i kind of like 1 the best.

but i wouldn't be surprised if the mic placement affected this more than you think. they all seemed to fit into catagories--some seemed really mid-boosted, others seemed mid scooped. this could of course be the speakers--but i use a sennheiser for cab mic'ing and it's amazing how much even an inch or mic angle affects the tone.

spill the beans already!

If memory serves:
1 = Weber Thames (yeah, my custom 50 watters)
2 = Reeves/Eminence Vintage Purple
3 = Fane 122142(?) cast frame 17K gauss
4 = Fane 122231 cast frame 14K gauss
5 = Goodmans Audiom (?)
6 = Fane 122231 stamped frame 14K gauss (the Gin Blossoms cab)
You can almost feel the current flowing
You can almost see the circuits blowing

yep, that was the order. Next time we will plan ahead and mic them up close as well as the room.

Next time we need a "designated driver/event coordinator"... the combination of alcohol, late nights and "shell shock" conspired to unravel the good Doctor's best laid plans. :wink:

But it was a good time regardless! :lol:

I have already decided that each activity will have a coordinator. I think that will help!
