Bad news for a dr103

Post by marwatt »

last night my amp had a strange behaviour...
symptoms:
the volume fade away... after few moment come back to life... after another few moments the volume goes away again or stay with a little volume.
Can anyone point me in the right way?
the power tube gone?
the phase inverter tube gone?
the bias voltage instable?
any guess?

thank you in advance

Sorry to hear your DR103 is ill.

Have you switched impedence lately? I've had dirty contacts on the impedence switch cause the signal to cut in and out.

Just a thought (hoping it's something simple).

It definitely can't hurt to remove and re-seat the selector plugs and all the tubes in their sockets.
