Still sad

Post by jonmike »

Back in the day(70's) one of the guitar players I was in a band with bought a DR-103. Bought is probably not the right term but I will let it pass. Anyway, not to long after
we were loading out equipment and this guy puts the amp on the hood of a car while he goes after something else. Just as he and I come out the door of his garage
we witness the lead guitar players kid smash the output tubes with a plastic bat. I won't tell you what was said or done after that, I don't think I can, legally. Moral of
story, don't be lazy, put the cover on the back. Mike

Sad story...I just bought a DR103 without a back panel. I will be replacing it as soon as possible....

Or....don't have kids ;) . That IS a sad story. If those tubes were Mullards, it would have been justifiable homocide  .
