I've compared the new sozo blue molded caps to ordinary sozos now. the blue molded are clearer and more scooped. it does not have the thick dirty marshall sounds but sounds more - well fenderish. it appears to have tighter bass and possibly more high end

Geez I'd never have guessed blue mold would have helped caps sound better? I would have just thrown them out! :P

hey thanks for the info! how did you do the comparison?
In a two channel amp with two pretty similar sounding channels, I changed the caps in one of the channels. the difference was pretty noticable

yes the premiums/vintage sozos are more middy than the standards, but the standards are still have more low mids than the blue molded sozos
