WTB: Vintage purples

Post by Analog103 »

I'm looking for a complete quad. I'm located in Europe.

Thanks!

I have a vintage Hiwatt Fane, model 122231 in good condition I could offer in a trade + cash.

That might help sweeten the deal, but I'm not aware of anyone with a spare quad of Vintage Purples. A quad did come up awhile back, but was quickly snatched up.

Have you calculated the costs of purchasing a Reeves cab loaded with VP's and shipped to Europe? If you're only after the speakers, perhaps you could resell the empty cab locally? Just a thought.

I knew the Hiwatt Fane would get some interest, hehe. :P

Actually I'm waiting for a response from Reeves amplification as we speak. We'll see.

I will also consider a quad of Weber Thames but from what I hear I'd prefer the VP's.

I have some sets of old Hiwatt Fanes kicking around.
How many € would a quad go for?
Where in Europe?
I am in Scotland...

Hi,
Where in Scotland are you Chris, I'm in Kirkcaldy and looking to find a couple of Fanes for a 2x12. Also looking to meet up with Hiwatt owners, before I invest in a vintage 504 or a clone.
