Well it looks like MG is bringing the brand down again. On eBay they're advertising Fane loaded 2x12 cabinets...
with optional Celestions!
I'm not trying to come off as a snob, but seriously, it's like putting Jensens in a Marshall. Yeah you can do it, but then it doesn't sound like a Marshall anymore. I haven't been able to play ANY of the new MG-Hiwatts (Didn't MG make little cars in the 70's?) simply because Fernandes totally didn't service my local shop and we don't live that far from Chicago! Anyway I thought I'd rant.
They strike once again!

You're not missing out by not playing through what currently sells under the Hiwatt label. The good news is, the real thing is usually available at the same - or lower - price. Sometimes, it just takes a little hunting.

And the vintage HIWATT community here is wonderfully helpful in said hunting expeditions.OldSchoolDave wrote:Well put !midifarm wrote:it's like putting Jensens in a Marshall. Yeah you can do it, but then it doesn't sound like a Marshall anymore.
