Xsubs, good luck on your sale and congrats on your purchase. I'm assuming you bought the amp & cab I was considering on Ebay last week. What's your 2nd cab going to be (your 4x12?) since you didn't pick up both 115 cabs? I'd appreciate your posting your assessment of the rig and perhaps better still some sound clips. Cheers!

Xsubs,
KT-88's are great tubes for bass and that balanced XLR out is a great modern feature - smart move Reeves.
TalkBass is a good resource indeed. Thanks for the link - I like your review. Adding up all the great online forums that are available ...wow... there's just not enough hours in a day, week, lifetime! It's hard for me to prioritize, especially since I have so many interests. It's no wonder G.A.S. is on the rise & no doubt countless forums, ebay & Craig's list are directly contributing to it being of epidemic proportions (even in these hard financial times).

Back in the 70's-80's all my bass playing was 4 strings, tube heads and 15" cabs. Then I went from hard/progressive rock to jazz fusion & to 5 strings (or more) using HiFi stereo rack gear with boutique cabs & subs. Well I'll be damned if there isn't transition in the wind drawing me back to my roots. Just picked up a sweet Rick4003 and soooo it's started ... all over again ... time to look for some 15's.

FWIW - in contrast, my guitar playing has never been anything but tubes. Since I'm back to playing 90% bass again, guess I should change my signature.
