its a 4123 and it says 100 watt rating.

however from what i have seen the speakers are 50 watts. is this correct?

Congrats on the score!

Yes, all but the very early Hiwatt cabs are loaded with 50 watt (or higher) speakers and are conservatively rated on the Serial tag.

A properly functioning quad of Fanes should be able to handle a DR103. But, when using vintage speakers - especially ones you're not familiar with, proceed with caution and listen for any signs of strain.

congrats!
SE4123 stands for Speaker Enclosure, four, twelve inch drivers, version three. SE4123 cabs came with 50 watt Fane #122231 until spring 1978. Then things start getting less "black and white"

bring on the pics!

No tear on the cone, nothing. Hoooooooooray!

I'm running both cabs so I feel safe about running the 103.

Still it's loud!

I'm itching soooooo bad for P90s again.

Get yourself a Big Muff or a Fuzz Face and you'll be pleased with your SC's. Congrats on your score, I have one too thanks to Dave, except mine is front loaded.
