DST-Engineering Fanes?

I picked up a Swanson cabinet late last year.
I know these are not vintage, but does anyone know more info about them and how they compare to other Fanes or Fane-like speakers?

These are the modern cast-frame Fanes. I like them a lot, but opinions vary.

I've got a pair and I like them in my Swanson 2-12 open back DR504 combo. Can't comment on real Fanes, as I've never had any, but they are a smidge darker than my Weber Thames or Eminence Tonkers.
