Recone of Fane SE4122

Hey All,

I have a chance to pick up a '72 Cabinet. I have been told that all 4 speakers are blown. Who would you recommend to re-cone these?

Cheers, Mike

I suppose Orange County Speaker. I would check out all four speakers first. There is a very good chance only one is bad.

Chris Merren repairs (vs. re-cones) speaker, it's probably not cheap, but I'm sure the work is done well.

Chris is the man! I didn't know he had a new website or worked with speakers.

I may have to send him some of my "dead soldiers".

What a great service to offer!

I agree with Chris' observations on that page and am encouraged that someone is actually attempting to repair vintage speakers, retaining as many of the original parts as possible. Definitely the way to go for wounded Fanes.
