Hi guys,

I'm Darren, new to this site, but like the info and pics on here. very cool. I have a Hiwatt head(non Vintage) and a Reeves cab (VP) and I'm getting back into the guitar. Big Bolin fan as well. Whilst looking for my cab and researching the history of these things I found I knew the original CEO of Fane speakers (now owned by Eminence Europe). Small world.

Hi Dr Hiwatt,
Great place, I'm sure it will be fun. ( I suspect it will cost me as well, already looking some of these vintage heads..wow) 8)

Thanks Dave for your help. So we have some other Hoosiers one here?

I see the thread about the convention in Indiana, is there a page that has all of the details for this event?

Greetings to all and thanks to Clayton for running this BUT I MAY HAVE TO SHOUT!
I've owned and played a magnificent Hiwatt FL112 Combo for about 17 years and I've never met another soul who owned one. I’m not even sure if a ’78 FL112 qualifies as vintage but I’d be interested to hear from other owners. Mine is (as far as I know) original except for the power tubes. The speaker has been repaired- one of the braided wires became detached and the dust cap has been replaced, but it works fine. The amp’s tone and volume are still awesome and, of course, it’s made many a more modern and supposedly more powerful/better sounding amp wither, along with some of my hearing…I love it. I’m from sunny Queensland in Australia by the way.

Do I need photobucket to show you a photo of 'my little friend'?

Cheers!
GreenSteam
Also a huge thankyou to MHuss for his website- awesome.

Welcome GreenStream!
If you have a Hylight then you have a Vintage HIWATT!
To post pics in threads, you will need a photo bucket or similar type of photo hosting account.
