Yes, The Old Peculier is quite tasty. I had a spot down in Athens, Georgia, last week. Absolutely smashing! I look forward to partaking of it quite a bit whilst at the convention. Hopefully there will plenty (and not just the ones I bring).

I edited the initial post with the following:

The Convention room rate is good for reservations made before June 6. June 6th any remaining rooms in the Convention Block will return to the regular price.

while i would like to stay in the "official" hotel, its a bit spendy for me,
will pay it if thats the going rate and it does look very nice
but if anyone is staying at other accommadation let us know!
do hotels have 240v step up transformers or is that a crazy notion?!!

thanks

You'll have to bring your own step-up.

@ http://www.kayak.com:

Knights Inn is $78/night incl. taxes (not nearly as nice, but you get what you pay for?)
Days Inn is $100/night incl. taxes
Courtyard Marriott is $110/night incl. taxes (Does the "Convention Rate" include tax?)

I will call the Marriott on the morrow to see about a room. I just got back from Canada and drove right past the place....

Just got off the phone with the Courtyard and they're switching my web reservation over to the Vintage Hiwatt group rate :D .

See everyone in less than one month!

Yeah--if there's anything I hate it's loudmouths in an eatery and or/hotel.....

"I want to see the hotel manager!"

"Why, what's the matter?"

"Matter enough! Do you know who sneaked into my room at 3 o'clock in the morning?

"Who did that?"

"Nobody--and that's my complaint!"
