Not sure what was up with the Special Reserved Block of VHC rooms... all they had available were doubles @ $99/night. Works for me.
Now where's that countdown to mortality timer?

I could only get it on the main page: http://www.vintagehiwattconvention.com .mikhailwatt wrote:Now where's that countdown to mortality timer?
Well, it seems that your rate was cheaper than my "special convention rate," so good for you! What's an extra ten bucks toward having a fun weekend anyway?mikhailwatt wrote:Well, I'm officially booked at the same fine establishment as the rest of you degenerates!

The best web rate I could get, using my AAA - (NOT AARP, Mike B.) discount, was $123. The VHC group rate saved me a few bucks. Plus, as I understand it, all the "official" VHC guests will receive SuperDuper Presidential Penthouse Corner Suites ... WITH in-suite masseuse. Then again, I might have heard some of those details wrongMike B. wrote:Well, it seems that your rate was cheaper than my "special convention rate," so good for you!
For $99 I'll probably be on an Army surplus cot in the boiler room. Wait, it was a double. Make that (2) Army surplus cots!OldSchoolDave wrote:Plus, as I understand it, all the "official" VHC guests will receive SuperDuper Presidential Penthouse Corner Suites ... WITH in-suite masseuse. That's it - Chris can stay in the tent. I'm gettin' a massage! Unless it's from Mike B., that is.OldSchoolDave wrote:The best web rate I could get, using my AAA - (NOT AARP, Mike B.) discount, was $123. The VHC group rate saved me a few bucks. I'll take that as a complimentMike B. wrote: You guys are so full of s#%t that your eyes are turning brown (if they haven't already).
Yes, the amp is sounding quite good these days. Now all I have to do is decide which basses sound the best with it and bring those basses (I have two in mind)!OldSchoolDave wrote:I'll take that as a complimentMike B. wrote: You guys are so full of s#%t that your eyes are turning brown (if they haven't already).![]()

Massages aside, I look forward to seeing and hearing your 2150, powered by your DR201.

The Courtyard worked well for VHC II and III. If you can manage the same (or better?) rate for VHC IV, that'd be great.Dr.HIWATT wrote:we don't have an official hotel this year, it didn't really seem to matter much last year as they are all so close together.
