OK,
I Just worked out a better deal than last year!
Reg. rate $139 + tax for either a Double room or single King room.

This year.(drum roll please) $94 +tax!

The cut off date is May 29. So make your reservation by May 29 to recieve the Vintage HIWATT Convention discount!

I will not have the contract in front of me before May 9 so you may need to wait until atleast May 9 to make your reservation.

Spoke with a very nice person at the Courtyard just now. She couldn't find the group in her computer, but will verify the rate and get back to me. She did say; "Thank you Mr. Hiwatt" at the end of the call. We both got a chuckle out of that ;) .

There is a brand new La Quinta, I don't have a phone number, but I believe they are open now.

if not they surely will by August.

Any development in the selection of the "main Convention hotel"?

the new La Quinta is now accepting reservations (http://www.lq.com).

"Web" rate, $90 per night. "AAA" rage, $81 per night. Plus taxes, etc.. Includes free continental breakfast.

I got a rate of 75.60 per night (even less on Thurs night). :) This is the one on Trabue Road, right?
