Greetings all!!!
Been reading through some posts and would just like to say thank you for sharing your insights on these amps.
Almost ready to start a build ~ the info here and on Mark's site has been most enlightening, hat's off to you all.

I have four orders here to take to UPS if I (or an assistant) can get out of the office long enough to do it. The back to school rush gets crazy!

august is typically very busy which is good. June is typically dead so it is catch up time.

It is a trendy business

hello all, really glad to find this forum!

I'm in Europe and Hiwatt amps have my favorite sound [ followed by blackface fender, is that allowed? :) ]

I wanna say thanks to all the people who have provided me with so much reading material here and on other forums. Mark Huss, gldtp99, Dr.HIWATT et all, you don't know me but thanks for all the informative posts I've read recently!

I'm pumped about the info I've read here about the JP Hiwatt. It is *exactly* what I had in my head. Also, that 200 watt SAP clip on Youtube was inspiration to search for info on the SAP circuit. It would basically be my 'desert island amp' (if you live on a desert island, you can turn it up as loud as you want right?)

Welcome, Tibor!

We won't pick on your English if you don't pick on my Croatian :) . Please don't be shy about joining in the discussions here.

Please go to Mark Huss' site and register your very early Hiwatt:

And thank you for rescueing it from the garbage!

regards,
Dave

Hi
Forgot to introduce myself!
I am Laurent from France (that can't just explain why my english is so poor  ), and I had the pleasure to read a lot of you on the vintageamp board.
I have a DR504 from 1978 with which I am fighting for many many years now despite the fact I am a DIY'aholic.

I also own a early/mid 70's 4x12 and I have built a 2x12 "à la Hiwatt":

Welcome Loylo!

My French is no better than my Croatian, so we'll have to try to muddle through with English :) .

You did an excellent job on that 2x12 cabinet! Was it difficult to locate the Simms-Watts Fanes for it?

Cool Binson Echorec, too. Hiwatt Bob has one that he brought to the 2007 Vintage Hiwatt Convention. It sounded great, but he had entirely rewired it.

regards,
Dave
