gold piping?

Post by mikhailwatt »

I was told (by an unverified source) that George Lynch has a very old Hylight 4x12 with gold piping (don't know if it was OEM - obviously it could have had some cosmetic alterations at some point).

Has anyone seen or heard of such an animal before?

I've seen a gold (script) logo plate or two. Can't recall the piping, though.

FWIW, I prefer gold piping on Marshalls & while piping on Hiwatts. Call me a traditionalist :) !

I know that Lynch is a fan of HIWATT cabs and I remember seeing a picture of his rig that had 2 HIWATT cabs, a marshall cab and maybe an orange. Those I saw in the pic, were standard white piping.

It isn't out of the question that someone ordered a HIWATT cab specifically with gold piping, but My money is on either a Sound City or Roost cab.
