Vintage Fanes in a HH cab?

Post by janarn »

Here is a picture of a speaker in a HH412 cab.
12H, 8ohm, 50w, 23/74, 122383

Is this a 50w Fane from week 23 1974?

It appears to be. No idea how it might compare with a HIWATT Fane model, though.

The large magnet makes it look Medusa-like to me.

Do you own this or have the opportunity to buy it?

I can buy a "HH412 BL Minor" with these speakers.

I've never met a working Fane that I didn't like. Without being familiar with that particular model, it's difficult to know if they would carry a premium or not.

If the price is right, go for it :) !

P.S. Is the cabinet local to you? It would be best to assure there's no voice coil rub before purchase.
