I've been offered 4 vintage Fane 12 inch speakers, serial No. 122364, 8 Ohm, dated week 09 / 1974 with cast aluminium frames.
Big Anisotropic Ferrite magnets, which look similar to Crescendo (S/N 122326). So does the front of the speaker. Therefor, even though the magnets appear to be a little smaller, I get the impression that they belong to the Crescendo family.
Heavy Duty probably means 50W and up. It doesn't say Extra High Power, so it's probably not 100W. So that leaves 50 - 75 Watt.
Fane Serial No. 122343 is a 60W Crescendo. There is also a Crescendo that is called 122346... sigh: no clue what that is.
They're not bass speakers: their serial numbers start with 123.
They're in excellent condition, except the chalk mark on the cone of the second speaker which makes me think they may have been reconed. That may be what draws me to them: they look in remarkably good condition for 40 year old speakers.
Does anybody know about these speakers? I know, I know, Fane made hundreds of speakers, but this one somehow sticks out and I' think it might be worth investigating.
The pictures are not too good, but at the moment it's all I have. Should it turn out that these are indeed rather interesting and worth a second look, then I'll post more.
Anyone? Don't be shy now. Any info will be appreciated.

Re: '74 Fane Serial No. 122364 info please
Am I right to think these are the speakers currently advertised on a dutch second hand site?
If so... I've also been in contact with this seller, but thought he was asking too much.
I did however purchase a set of 2 Fane speakers with the same serial number and looks as these ones, only dating from '76.
I installed these in my cab and they sound pretty sweet! They sound a bit like Celestions V30 to my ears... only more 'defined' and balanced. More hi-fi if you will...
They do have a pretty low efficiency for 50w speakers... When I installed them in a 4x12 setting (2 Fanes and 2 V30) they got overpowered.
Installed in a 2x12 they do sound amazing though... just have to turn my amp up a bit.
