Logos & control panels Traffolyte/Traffolite

The Traffolite board that the Hiwatt logos and control plates are made of seems to have been used in 2 thicknesses, 1/16" and 1/8"
Early amps seem to have used the 1/16" and then by 1973 the 1/8" was used.
Haven't looked at cabs but guess they changed at the same time?
Has anyone noted when the change seems to have happened or why?
The 1/8" has a thick middle layer of black:
