The cab didn't seem so large until I realized that's a 400 watt head sitting on top .

Yeah, I've blown enough rare old speakers by this point to know what they can and can't handle.
They sound great, warm but articulate. Lots of high end for a 15. Are they rated at about 60 watts each?
