Blue label Fane Speaker 125139 any good?

Hi some folk is offering me 2 12" Fane speaker w. # 125139 inked on the chassis. The magnet have the blue sticker on it. I have a 70ies 4 X 12" cab loaded w. fane speaker that came from an Orange Box. I really love playing that cab. It has more rounded highs and a nice saturation. To my 1969 Marshall cab it compares a lot softer w. a more enjoyable compression especially in te rehearsal room. The Marshall is the pit bull you don't want to miss when you're on a big stage. Together they're the dream team.
Sorry for my ramble. Anyone knows about those speakers? The guy is aksing 250 Euros for both. Is that an OK price. I bought 4 Fanes for 250 a year ago, so the current offering seems a bit stiff to me. Not sure if they're worth buying.
Any pointer is much appreciated. Thanx in advance

They're worth buying - just, not at that price.

A lot depends on how common they are in your neck of the woods, but I'd think 140-165 Euro would be fair. Being the cheapskate I am, I'd offer 120 and go from there .

my neighbour who is into Brit. gear told me the same thing today. Those speaker are nothing special and have been widely used, also in transistorized AC30 at some time. I'll be investing in some other gear firs before I decide on more cabs and speakers. Thanks for the info though.
