Old Peculiar not exported from UK

Post by Dr.HI-TONE »

I have been trying to find some Theakston's Old Peculiar for the Convention for a few weeks. The word is Southern Indiana is that "we can't get it anymore". No more info or details than that????????????

I contacted Theakston's brewery this morning to find out where I can find this heavenly nectar.

Sadly, they are not exporting from the UK. They are focusing on their domestic market and plan to export again in the next few years.

Don't we have an attendee/importer coming from that side of the pond?

O.k. I've purchased a (much) larger case.
How much do you want?

Surely, there's a bituminous plant nearby that could provide a reasonable facsimile  ?

How long ago did they stop exporting? That is to ask, if one were to stumble across some on a shelf in the U.S., how old would it be?

I don't know when their cutoff date was. I would assume December 31 2008.

If you can find it, by all means snag it!
