Re: Nearby Hotels
Yes, The Old Peculier is quite tasty. I had a spot down in Athens, Georgia, last week. Absolutely smashing! I look forward to partaking of it quite a bit whilst at the convention. Hopefully there will plenty (and not just the ones I bring).

Re: Nearby Hotels
is that a normal rate for accomodation in the area?-
while i would like to stay in the "official" hotel, its a bit spendy for me,
will pay it if thats the going rate and it does look very nice
but if anyone is staying at other accommadation let us know!
do hotels have 240v step up transformers or is that a crazy notion?!!
thanks

You'll have to bring your own step-up.jasperok wrote:do hotels have 240v step up transformers or is that a crazy notion?!!
@ http://www.kayak.com:
Knights Inn is $78/night incl. taxes (not nearly as nice, but you get what you pay for?)
Days Inn is $100/night incl. taxes
Courtyard Marriott is $110/night incl. taxes (Does the "Convention Rate" include tax?)

Re: Nearby Hotels
For those of you that may want to camp out and save some money, just let me know!
Re: Nearby Hotels
Tightwad Chris even mentioned camping! Let me know all the details--it'll make the misers day!
Re: Nearby Hotels
I will call the Marriott on the morrow to see about a room. I just got back from Canada and drove right past the place....

Yeah--if there's anything I hate it's loudmouths in an eatery and or/hotel.....OldSchoolDave wrote:And, the Mexican restaurant! Just try to keep the noise down, O.K. ?Mike B. wrote: How conveniently close to the beer store....

"I want to see the hotel manager!"
"Why, what's the matter?"
"Matter enough! Do you know who sneaked into my room at 3 o'clock in the morning?
"Who did that?"
"Nobody--and that's my complaint!"
