Re: So is this real or bogus?
Might well be the worst-formatted ebay listing I've seen, but what I see in the photos looks legit. That said, one must be cautious, given the source...

Those cones look almost too clean.

Re: So is this real or bogus?
other than the color of the frames, it looks legit.
I am the high bidder, but I may retract it considering the Harrison/MG connection..........

Doc - did you ask seller whether those 1973 50 watters were 100% original or rebuilt?
Too clean is an understatement for sure.
Have any of you ever seen tags look this minty fresh for their alleged age?

Tags, yes. Cones? I dunno, they usually look a little more faded, but the cone construction looks right. Could be the picture, too, making them look darker.Bossco wrote:Have any of you ever seen tags look this minty fresh for their alleged age?
Grille cloth could be original if it was taken care of and stored well. Could just as easily have been replaced. But the money's really in the drivers.

I was thinking of jumping into the race as well, but not sure I want to do business with someone called rudeamericanfollies and communicates in style that befits the name...

Re: So is this real or bogus?
Atleast the seller admits that Rick Harrison put those speakers into that cab for him. The auction is laid out so poorly that I didn't see that info until just a minute ago. I did notice that the staples that held the wiring harness in place were not rusty, while every other screw, nut and bolt is quite rusty.
The cab may have been legit, the speakers......?
My advice: Don't get "Dicked"
It may be a decent "player" if picked up for $700-$800. It is far from any collector piece.

"YEAH, WELL, YOU'RE A BLEEDIN' WIZARD, YOU ARE" LOL this guy is hilarious! I hope for the high bidders sake it's legit.

Bidding has taken it out of the "Bargain" range. That said, it's been pushed up by bidders with feedback ratings of Zero and One .Dr.HIWATT wrote:

The last "verifiable" bid was at a grand, which was still a gamble, considering the (original) source and the lack of cone codes & pics.
Content to be watching this one from the sidelines,

The sidelines are the only place to be in this auction!
