What's your favorite pickup with your Hiwatt

got lollar p90s in a sg classic , nice chainsaw growl , clean up at around 5-6 higher if you lighten your attack, plugged in and went at punk meets the godfather ,and id pay for em again , thought the stock ones the gibby came with were more than adaquate , i just had the g.a.s.

P90s. I had a SG Classic and have Phat Cats in my Lester. I think they sound great with my Super Lead too.

After giving it some thought, I'm going to try out a set of Lollar P-90s on my Custom SG Special.

Don't discount Seymour Duncan's Vintage Soapbar SP90 either. It doesn't have that "boutique" appeal but it can hold it's own with the best 'em IMO.

For playing through Hiwatts, my personal favorite pickup is the new Fralin hum cancelling P90.

I love my Tele through the amp, fat single coil tone for days. i was searching for this tone forever.

When I think of HIWATT and P90 i think townshend, when i think of fenders and HIWATT i think jesus lizard.

I have a Piece of Sh.T Strat with 3 Duncan little 59's and my amp sounds like a Hammond B-3 !!!

If I ever get a hiwatt i'll tell you, but I would say a set of humbuckers inside a 1959 Burst would give a whole lot of love and 2x 69 single coils and a custom wound Duncan SSL1 on a black seriously modded then un modded then modded again then the neck changed 3 times, oh and a kahler trem added than taken out sort of strat.... or a 59 reissue candy apple red strat with active EMG's might take you to the dark side of the moon. (plus of course 3 Hiwatt 103's, 2 405's a 4x12 WEM, 4x12 Marshall and £++++Pete Cornish plus other effects might help).
Seriously tho try a set of Bare Knuckle Mules.

God I must check my posts, I just invented a new Hiwatt model called the 405 of course I meant 504's.
Yup Hiwatts sound awesome, that is why I want one, but this thread is favourite pickup into a hiwatt, I don't have one but wanted to join in... we all know David Gilmour would sound great with just a guitar into a cranked Hiwatt, into a 2x12, without all the other stuff.
