Hey! Great to be here. Heard about this forum over on the gearpage, which is the only other online forum I participate in. After being a Fender man forever, I picked up a Reeves Custom 50 Head last week. Wow! I hope Reeves owners are welcome here. Anyhow, I have seen the light.

I'm 44, I play in two bands. I gig once or twice a month. I build my own guitars. ( I buy the necks.) I've got two sons, 5 and 8. I think that's enough for now.

I am running my Reeves through an open-back Avatar 212 with a pair of Weber ceramic Thames.

My name is David Lanik. I have the HIWATT thing bretty bad. Many years, many HIWATTs, and never enough.

Kudos out to Mark H., Clayton C. Dave P., Bill J. and the rest. Lots of good hard work done, and it's just starting.

I look forward to the Convention!

I play P-Bass through that (mostly the bass player in my band though it's my amp). Ampeg v4 cabs sound really great with bass. The bottom purple cab has emenence Deltas in there. I play the Les Paul through the Hiwatt cabs. After years of collecting Marshall cabs, I stumbled into a hiwatt cab and my life changed forever. They sound sooo much better (and way louder). Since then, I have a hard time even listening to the old Marshall cabs. Then I got into the heads. The 200s are the most awesome... although I've never heard a 400. I know of one up in the Bronx but the guy want's stupid money ($8000). I think it's a 72 or 73. He says it's loaded with Red Lions. If I were a rich girl...

Hiwatt Bob here. most of you know me from the plexi board. but some of you know me by my real name--Ryan.

great to see you all here. there's a very good possibility i'll be able to make next year's convention. we're trying to schedule our annual trip to italy around it so that my wife and daughter leave a couple weeks early--which will give me some free time that weekend. fingers crossed.

also great to see a girl that's into hiwatts. i will do everything i can to raise my daughter right--so that she appreciates hiwatts too. 8)

...actually, I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. I was told yesterday we only come in rotten. Let her get dragged through the mud a little, she's sure to be into Hiwatts!
