Cool indeed. But how does one look underneath the pre-amp tag board? I have a DR103 amp that was wired by Harry Joyce Electronics wired during late 73 or early 74, so I'll report back if I can find anything.

Sounds to me like this is something anyone could do in his own basement, no?Zells wrote:Cool indeed. But how does one look underneath the pre-amp tag board? I have a DR103 amp that was wired by Harry Joyce Electronics wired during late 73 or early 74, so I'll report back if I can find anything.

I don't know how to remove a tag to look at the other side of it without disconnecting some solder joints. Some of those wires are on there tight.
Re: Voice from the past
Good point. I remember watching some guys trying to do just that and to say they wound up cursing those tight wires would be an understatement. Good luck!Zells wrote:I don't know how to remove a tag to look at the other side of it without disconnecting some solder joints. Some of those wires are on there tight.

What I did one time was to unbolt all the pots, and bend it up with the top towards the tubes, with the pots, etc., dangling.
